چکیده

Since the discovery of superconductivity in infinite-layer nickelates ${\mathrm{RNiO}}_{2}$ (R = La, Pr, Nd), great research efforts have been made to unveil its underlying superconducting mechanism. However, physical origin intriguing hole-doped phase diagram, characterized by a dome sandwiched between two weak insulators, is still unclear. Here we present microscopic theory for electronic structure from fundamental model-based perspective. We found that appearance insulator lightly and heavily regime dominated Mottness Hundness, respectively, exhibiting unique orbital-selective doping originated competition Hund interaction crystal field splitting. Moreover, can also be created ``mixed'' transition Mott-insulator Hund-induced correlated state, exactly reproducing experimentally observed diagram. Our findings not only demonstrate orbital-dependent strong-correlation physics Ni $3d$ states but provide unified understanding diagram nickelates, which are distinct well-established paradigms cuprates iron pnictides.

Microscopic theory of thermal phase slips in clean narrow superconducting wires.

We consider the structure of a thermal phase-slip center for a simple microscopic model of a clean one-dimensional superconductor in which superconductivity occurs only within one conducting channel or several identical channels. Surprisingly, the Eilenberger equations describing the saddle-point configuration allow for an exact analytical solution in the whole temperature and current range. Th...

Charge Stripes and Antiferromagnetism in Insulating Nickelates and Superconducting Cuprates

Neutron and X-ray scattering studies have provided strong evidence for coupled spatial modulations of charge and spin densities in layered nickelates and cuprates. The accumulated results for La2−xSrxNiO4+δ are consistent with the strongly-modulated topological-stripe concept. Clues from Nd-doped La2−xSrxCuO4 suggest similar behavior for the cuprates. The experimental results are summarized, an...

Microscopic theory of the phase-dependent linear conductance in highly transmissive superconducting quantum point contacts

A microscopic theory for transport properties of a superconducting quantum point contact is presented. According to contact transmission and quasiparticle damping two different physical regimes can be identified. In the limit of small applied voltages and weak damping this theory provides an exact analytical expression for the current through the contact. The phase-dependent linear conductance ...
